How to prepare for IIT JEE

  • Adhere to a Time Table!

Make a timetable forward yourself. Adhere to this timetable as much as you can. The timetable should be scheduled according to your school timings so that you have ample rest before you start studying for IIT JEE. Make a timetable that has several breaks in between so that you do not exhaust yourself.

  • Make Handwritten Notes!

It is always advised to make your notes while you are preparing for the IIT JEE. This will help you understand any topic better and aid in retaining more information in your mind. Since you will have notes that will be understandable to you, you can turn to these when you revise!

  • Set Targets for Yourself!

If you want to start the preparation for IIT JEE well in advance in class 11, then you should set targets that you will be able to achieve during a designated period. Be it two months or six months, ensure that you set an achievable target.

  • Do not Over Exhaust Yourself.

You must not exhaust yourself when you prepare for the IIT JEE. If you are overindulged in your preparation, then you may overuse your energy and even fall ill at last. This means that you will waste your precious time in doing so.

  • Prepare for Physics through Maths!

If you want to excel in Physics, make sure that you have an upper hand in Physics. Be aware of all the basic maths tools. Then, you will have a go-ahead with chapters like Vectors and Kinematics. Both these concepts will be cleared thereafter. You will also be able to do all the calculations that will help you reach the solutions for various questions.

  • Prepare for Chemistry from the first day.

The syllabus of Chemistry is very vast and diverse. It is a quantum jump from the topics that you have covered in class 11. Due to this, you need to be thorough with all the concepts beforehand. Start by studying the “Basics of Chemistry”. Then, proceed with “Mole Concept” and “Atomic Structure”. Make sure to start with two of these chapters so that you have a go-ahead with Chemistry. Rely on NCERT for your Chemistry notes.
